Lukoil Neftochim Burgas Refinery Builds Heavy Waste Treatment Complex

An investment of USD 1.5 B will go to the first stage of the construction of a heavy waste treatment complex at the Bulgarian Lukoil Neftochim Burgas refinery.

The investment was announced by the government's press office on Wednesday after a meeting of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski with Vagit Alekperov, President of Russian energy giant Lukoil.

Construction in Bulgaria Grows For the First Time in 5 Years

For the first time in five years, construction in Bulgaria in 2013 posted a growth, shows the data of the National Registry of New Buildings and Reconstructions. 

In the past year the overall construction of new buildings grew by 21.96%. 

Highest growth was posted in Sofia – by 28.23%, followed by the Black Sea city of Burgas.

Information regarding the suicide bomber who killed five tourists and the Bulgarian bus driver at Burgas Airport is wrong, Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov said.

Tsatsartov refuted claims that he was Algerian, as media reports earlier suggested, according to Bulgaria's Dariknews.bg.

Interior Minister Confirms Hezbollah Responsible For Burgas Bombing

Bulgaria's Interior Minister Tsvetlin Yovchev confirmed that the Hezbollah terrorist organisation is responsible for the bus bombing at the Burgas' Sarafovo Airport.

Asked by journalists on Monday whether Hezbollah was responsible for the bombing, Yovchev said he had already stated his conviction. 

Identity of Perpetrator of 2012 Burgas Bus Bombing Revealed

The identity of the perpetrator of the 2012 Burgas bus bombing has been revealed, according to Bulgarian Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov.

Tsatsarov said that he could not disclose more details about the persons related to the terror act at the Sarafovo Airport which killed seven, including five Israeli tourists, the Bulgarian bus driver and the alleged suicide bomber.
