Venezuela’s iconic street named ‘Turkish Republic’

One of the streets in the center of the Venezuelan capital Caracas, which is considered a historical symbol of the country, has been named the "Turkish Republic Street."

Türkiye's Ambassador to Caracas Aydan Karamanoğlu, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil and Mayor Carmen Melendez attended the opening ceremony featuring folk dance groups of the two cultures.

High speed railway launched between Ankara, Sivas

A new high-speed train service has been launched between the capital Ankara and the Central Anatolian province of Sivas.

The train will depart from Ankara's high-speed train station and pass through the nearby provinces of Kırıkkale and Yozgat before it reaches Sivas, Transport Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu informed at the new line's inauguration ceremony.

Painter portrays plight of quake survivors in watercolor

A painter living in the Central Anatolian province of Kırıkkale draws paintings of heartbreaking moments from the Kahramanmaraş-centered quakes and displays them on her wall, dedicating them to quake survivor children.

Şengül Otman, a 43-year-old painter living in Kırıkkale, paints historical structures and cultural assets in many provinces of the country with watercolor.
