A 7-year-old boy has been wounded by a tear gas canister fired by a police officer in Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district during a demonstration in protest of the deadly Suruç bombing early this week which left 32 people dead and more than 100 others injured.

The first reports of street violence on Friday afternoon cited a group of 500 so-called “anti-state” activists attacking riot police with clubs and other objects near the “no” rally — incidents, however, that have occurred repeatedly in the past in central Athens.

A 14-year-old girl has been wounded in the head with a tear gas canister in the Gazi neighborhood of Istanbul after police attacked protesters demonstrating against the detention of revolutionaries in the area, according to daily BirGün.

Security footage has emerged appearing to show two police officers firing tear gas canisters from close range at a crowd during the summer 2013 Gezi Park protests, which hit research assistant Burak Ünveren and left him blind in his left eye.

Students tear-gassed in school bus near southern town

PRESEVO -- 17 high school students in Presevo reported to the local health-care center late on Thursday after tear gas was used in a school bus.

The medical institution's director, Mitat Sahiti, said that all students were doing well after receiving treatment and were sent home after midnight, RTS reported.

Amnesty International has launched a petition campaign via change.org to stop South Korea exporting some 1.9 million tear gas canisters to Turkey.

The "Do Not Send Gas to Us" campaign states that the canisters are currently set to be handed to Turkey in mid-January.
