The U.S. chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and chief of the Turkish General Staff discussed Syria and cooperation between the two nations, a Pentagon spokeswoman said on Oct. 10.

The new Army Chief of Staff is lieutenant general Alkiviadis Stefanis, until now commander of the NRDC-GR, the new Navy Chief of Staff is vice admiral Nikolaos Tsounis, until now Commander of the National Defense School, and the new Air force Chief of Staff is lieutenant general Christos Christodoulou, until now commander of Tactical Air Force Command.
