A married couple of intellectuals from the capital of Montenegro had three daughters. The husband's brother had two children. But while their sister struggled for years to obtain the joy of parenthood, it didn't work. This couple visited all the clinics, and listened to all the advice, in vain.

Actress Claudia Cardinale may have been a sixties legend of Italian and French cinema, but in Tunisia, in the portside district where she grew up, she says she feels "at home."

"I left very young, but I spent my whole childhood here, my adolescence," said Cardinale, now 84. "My origins are here."

A Turkish pavilion opened at the 70th Cannes Film Festival has been promoting Turkey and Turkish cinema to the world as well as hosting many well-known guests. 

Italian actress Claudia Cardinale on Thursday was awarded an honorary degree by the National Academy for Theater and Film Arts (NATFA) in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Twice Upon a Time in the West, a Bulgarian thriller featuring Italian star Claudia Cardinale, is to have its first run at the Sofia Opera on Wednesday.
