Hand grenade outside French embassy injures police officer
A hand grenade attack outside the French Embassy in central Athens lightly wounded a policeman early on Thursday, police said, days before US President Barack Obama is due to visit the Greek capital.

An attack with an explosive device against the French Embassy, on Vasilisis Avenue, occurred on the morning of Thursday at 5am. According to reports, two individuals riding a motorcycle threw what police believe to be a hand grenade at the main entrance, slightly injuring the officer on guard in his foot.
Police deny N17 leader's claim members are still at large
Senior ranking police officials have denied a claim by the jailed leader of the disbanded November 17 urban terror group that there are still eight members at large.
"All those participating in the organization's activities have appeared in court," officials reportedly said Monday.

Colombia rebels free ex-governor held since 2013: officials
Colombia's second-largest guerrilla group, the National Liberation Army (ELN), freed an ex-governor on April 3 held captive since 2013, in a new boost to peace efforts.
