Kosovo politicians have complained of a lack of information about the draft statute for the proposed Association of Serbian Municipalities, which is designed to guarantee their autonomy in the mainly ethnic Albanian country.

EU gives Pristina "extra time" on ZSO - and what that means
"Kosovo gave the mandate to the Steering Team to draft the statute of the Community, that is, the Association (of Serb Municipalities, ZSO), which is in progress and will take time," Kocijancic told Tanjug on Wednesday.

Leaked documents that BIRN has seen reveal that Kosovo Serb stakeholders that the team tasked to draft the controversial statute in Kosovo on the Association of Serbian Municipalities consulted believe the statute should allow the education and health sectors to remain reliant on Serbia.

The foreign minister of Serbia at the same time stressed that pressure will not accelerate reaching a compromise.
"The United States is already very much well informed and indirectly involved in the whole process," Dacic told the daily Vecernje Novosti, commenting on the call of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj to engage the United States in the dialogue.

She stressed that a compromise would also not be possible if Serbia continued to insist that Kosovo belongs to it, Tanjug cited Germany's broadcaster Deutsche Welle, which quoted Brnabic's statement made for Germany's Welt newspaper.
Brnabic also said that "relations with Pristina for us, Serbs, are difficult and emotional."
Vucic and Thaci to meet on Sunday
The European Foreign Service said that the two presidents should discuss above all reaching a comprehensive agreement on the normalization of relations, while the implementation of the already reached agreements will be the second place of the agenda.

Pristina is shunning dialogue, says Serbian official
Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Dusan Kozarev said this on Monday, and added:
"Belgrade has fulfilled all the obligations from the First Brussels Agreement, while Pristina and its chief negotiator Avni Arifi use mindless excuses in their persistent efforts to find justification for unilaterally avoiding the continuation of the dialogue," Kozarev said.
Vucic "investing 80 percent of his time to Kosovo issue"
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said this on Thursday.
"At least two are needed for a compromise, but now there are several factors. People in Pristina said they have no foreign policy of their own, but consider the foreign policy of the United States to that," Brnabic said.

The daily Vecernje Novosti is reporting at the same time that three EU members want to "speed up" the entire process.

"The chief negotiator from Pristina (Avni Arifi) is uttering incredible words than nobody's reacting to - and many would have to," the head of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija told Tanjug.
