Conservation and restoration of cultural heritage

Some 180 cultural and artistic values in a wide range from Turkish culinary culture to traditional arts have been added to Turkey's national inventory of the intangible cultural heritage, raising the count to 294.

Nearly 86,000 historical artifacts registered in the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums have been maintained and repaired in order to bring them to life and display them in museums.

The Council of Ministers has approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding between Bulgaria and Jordan for tourism cooperation, said the government press office.

Despite rumors and a "bad reputation," vultures play an important role in the environment, said the director of a conservation organization.

The Buzludzha Monument will receive a $ 185,000 grant from the American Getty Foundation. The aim is to prepare a plan for its conservation and future use. This is said in a publication on the site of the organization, which describes the building as a "masterpiece of civil engineering" and "an indispensable part of Bulgarian history".
