Right to live cannot be compromised

In the absence of the right to live, all other rights, freedoms, norms and values become irrelevant and meaningless. Does the nation or the state matter much for someone who has fallen for the noble cause of defense of the nation and the state or is a cause for which someone sacrifices his life worth anything at all if there is no breath left to take?

Suruç is yet another alarm bell

The Muhammad cartoon madness

You probably know what happened in Garland, Texas, on May 5. The "Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest" was attacked by two gunmen, who were killed by the police before they could cause any harm. Since then, a possible link between the two Muslim attackers and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has been sought and discussed.

Erdo?an, Obama to open mosque in US: Turkish FM

The presidents of Turkey and the U.S. will open the Turkish-American Culture and Civilization Center in Maryland, Turkey?s foreign minister said April 19.    

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu, who was on a three-day visit to Washington, visited the center that also has a medium-sized mosque, and lunched with representatives from the American Muslim community.

To end extremism, give Muslims opportunity: Turkey's EU Minister

A Turkish government official says to eliminate a root cause of Islamist extremism, European countries must give their Muslim residents greater opportunities and more reasons for hope.
