BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Friday new investment plans for the country would be unveiled around January 20 and that they also included wages and pensions.

BELGRADE - The Serbian government has established a company tasked with implementing EXPO 2027.

According to the latest issue of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, the EXPO 2027 company has been established for an indefinite period of time to implement the Specialised Exhibition EXPO 2027, to be held in Belgrade.

BELGRADE - Hosting EXPO 2027 will be an opportunity for Serbia to present itself in the right light and the expo will the biggest and the most important event for Serbia in decades, Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Thursday.

Serbia will host more than 120 countries.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday evening the ICT sector was an engine of Serbia's development and that her government would focus on five areas during preparations for EXPO 2027: autonomous cars, a BIO4 campus, investments in science and technology parks, further investments in Kragujevac and development of artificial intelligence.

BELGRADE - EXPO Belgrade 2027 will hugely contribute to development of Belgrade and Serbia, it is a great honour to Serbia and it will be the biggest-ever event hosted by the country, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Wednesday, noting that Belgrade would be the centre of the world over the course of the three months of the expo.

"The Expo presents a great honor where we will invite the people. It lasts formally for three months, so from May 15, 2027, just at the end of my term so that I can open something that is the crowning success of everything. I have a personal goal, I will be fully committed to it, it will require so much work and effort.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic received San Marino's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Telecommunications Luca Beccari on Tuesday and thanked him for supporting Serbia's successful bid to host EXPO 2027.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Venezuelan FM Yvan Gil Pinto in Belgrade on Friday and thanked him for Venezuela's respect of the territorial integrity of Serbia and support for its successful bid to host EXPO 2027.
