Golob announces prompt renovation of country’s leading theatre
Ljubljana – Prime Minister Robert Golob announced on Friday a prompt start of renovation works at SNG Drama in Ljubljana. Visiting the country’s leading theatre in the company of Culture Minister Asta Vrečko after delayed renovation preparations, Golob expressed surprise at how the building had been allowed to decay to its current state.
Specialized Police Unit to Protect Cultural Heritage of Bulgaria
A specialized police unit will be set up to protect cultural heritage, be that movable or intangible, caretaker Minister of Culture Velislav Minekov told a briefing here on Tuesday.
The new unit will be subordinate to both the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Culture.
Ministry: Priority in resolving cases of threats towards journalists
The alleged threats were made to Pink journalist Gordana Uzelac.
The Ministry of Culture and Information calls on the competent authorities to treat these cases as a priority, believing that resolving them will not only change the social environment but also create an environment in which journalists will be able to perform their work smoothly and safely.
