Tadej Pogačar went full gas and is the new leader
Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) is the winner of the 3rd stage of Tour of Slovenia and new race leader. Slovenian made a final attack on the short climb to Old castle Celje, and crossed the finish line with 11 seconds ahead of teammate Rafal Majka.

Groenewegen takes his second win in Rogaška Slatina
Dylan Groenewegen (Team BikeExchange-Jayco) won a sprint finish in Rogaška Slatina, just like back in the 2018. Best Slovenian on the race was Matevž Govekar, fresh on the Bahrain-Victorious team.
Cycling star Pogačar defends UAE Tour title
Dubai – Slovenian cycling star Tadej Pogačar, who rides for UAE Team Emirates, won the 2022 UAE Tour on Saturday after winning the race’s final stage to defend his title from 2021 and start the new season with a bang.
This is Pogačar’s second UAE Tour win in addition to two white jerseys for the best young rider in 2020 and 2021.

Champions had spoken, it’s now time for legs to do the talking
The 27th Tour of Slovenia officially kicked-off today in Ptuj and will finish on Sunday in Novo mesto. 139 cyclists from 20 teams - 4 of them are part of the elite World Tour - are on the start list. Special guests of the yesterday's press conference were Tadej Pogačar, Matej Mohorič & Diego Ulissi, and they all predict an exciting race.
Bernal Wins Italian Giro
Colombian rider Egan Bernal appears to have finally put his back problems behind him as he added the Giro d'Italia title to his Tour de France win on Sunday.
Bernal, who won the Tour in 2019, safely maintained his advantage on the final day's time trial to Milan. As tradition dictates, he was last off the ramp and the Ineos Grenadiers rider had an overall lead of almost two minutes.

Pogačar wins first race of season
Abu Dhabi – Following his victory of Tour de France last year, Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) started the new season off with a win. He completed the 7-stage UAE Tour, the first world series race this season, 35 seconds ahead of Adam Yates (Ineos Grenadiers) and 1:02 minutes ahead of Joao Almeida (Deceuninck-Quick-Step).

Cyclist Pogačar and 2004 handball team honoured for sporting achievements
Ljubljana- Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar and the team that won silver at the 2004 European Men’s Handball Championships were honoured for their international achievements as the Bloudek Prizes, Slovenia’s top sports awards, were handed out in a virtual ceremony on Friday.
Cycling: Roglič wins 25th Tour of Slovenia
The member of the Dutch team LottoNl-Jumbo, who took silver in the 2017 UCI Road World Championships time trial, laid the foundations for the win in Saturday's fourth stage, which brought him the overall lead and a 33 second advantage in the overall standings.

Turkish cycling prospect Ahmet Örken joins Israeli team with eyes on Giro
Ahmet Örken, a 24-year-old cyclist who has dominated the Turkish cycling scene for the last four years, has joined pro-continental Israel Cycling Academy (ICA) to become the first Turkish athlete to join a cycling team at this level.
