Bulgaria: Third-Class Roads Still Unaccessible after the Snowfall

In the aftermath of heavy snowfall, a state of emergency persists across numerous Bulgarian municipalities, with the entire Razgrad district under this measure. While the road connecting Razgrad to Targovishte is now accessible to cars, it will only open to cargo vehicles later today. However, third-class roads in Razgrad and Shumen districts remain closed, hampering travel.

Weather Foreast: Mostly Cloudy with Rain

Today, the weather across Bulgaria will be mostly cloudy, with light, scattered rain. Moderate, or temporarily strong in the Danubian Plain and eastern Bulgaria, winds will bring cold air from the north-northeast. In the evening, precipitation in western Bulgaria will intensify and quickly turn to snow, which will accumulate overnight.

Weather Forecast: Maximum Temperatures between 2C and 7C

Today, variable cloudiness is forecast, more often considerable, with no precipitation for most of the day. The northwest wind will pick up, becoming moderate, in the Danubian Plain to strong at times. Daytime temperatures will rise, reaching highs between 2C and 7C. Later in the afternoon, from the northeast, moderate wind will start bringing cold air again.

Yellow code for strong winds has been announced in 6 districts of the country for October 3rd, according to the site of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.

It is in force for the regions Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Veliko Tarnova and Ruse. 

It Will be Sunny Again Today, with Highs Between 29C and 34C

 It will be sunny again today, with scattered high clouds mainly over northern Bulgaria. Light west-northwest wind, increasing to moderate in the Danubian Plain.

Maximum temperatures between 29C and 34C, in Sofia around 30C. Atmospheric pressure will continue to slowly drop and by the evening will be slightly lower than the average for the month.
