It will be mostly sunny today. In the afternoon, in eastern Bulgaria and the mountainous areas thunder clouds will form, bringing showers and thunder to some places, meteorologist Georgy Tsekov of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) told Focus News Agency.

Considerable medium to high cloudiness is forecast over the country today, with fog or low cloud in the lowlands and valleys, in the Danube Plain throughout the day.

Today it will be sunny over most of the country, in the afternoon with broken high clouds over Western Bulgaria. In the western half of the Danube Plain, it will remain cloudy and foggy with day temperatures still below the zero: minus 4°C to minus 2°C.

EU Commissioner on Regional Policy Corina Cre?u has approved the new Interreg trans border program, aimed at assisting 15 border regions across Bulgaria and Romania to create better living, studying and work conditions for their citizens. It will also focus on making the locations more attractive for investments.
