Asclepius Sanctuary discovery adds new details to timeline
Visitors to the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus in the eastern Peloponnese are increasingly fascinated by the treasures being unearthed in excavations of the assembly of monuments comprising the Sanctuary of Asclepius, hailed as the greatest center of healing in the ancient world.
An ancient temple at a five-star location
I first caught a glimpse of it through a window at the entrance to the Astir resort's beach club in Vouliagmeni, on Athens' southern coast. That's why the window was there: to allow the public to admire the ancient temple without trying to talk their way into the resort for free on the premise of being archaeology buffs.

Turkey repatriates nationals from S Africa, Mozambique
Turkey on May 22 repatriated 84 of its nationals who were stranded for weeks in South Africa and Mozambique after countries closed borders to avoid the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Istanbul museum offers collection online
Istanbul's Rezan Has Museum on April 2 opened a selection of its archaeological artifacts collection online for visitors staying at home to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.
In a statement, the museum said that the digital 3D archive was created by using more than 20,000 shootings to cover over 3,000 artifacts.

Acropolis Museum suspends special events over coronavirus
The Acropolis Museum in Athens is suspending for two weeks three planned events as a precaution agaisnt the spread of the coronavirus in the country, it announced Wednesday.

Turkish pianist performs at events in South Africa
Turkish pianist Renan Koen performed at several venues in South Africa to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust and teach local youths about what happened during the tragic period through her music.
Turkish Ambassador to South Africa Elif Çomoğlu Ülgen said that during one of Koen's performances, the pianist met with more than 60 students in Johannesburg aged between 13-16.
