Youssef El Arabi scored a hat-trick to see Olympiakos alone on top of the Super League table after its win over Volos, but it was Panathinaikos that stole the weekend's show with its Athens derby win over AEK on Sunday.

Olympiakos and PAOK reverted to victories in the Super League, but the Athens derby, where Panathinaikos came back from 2-0 down to beat AEK 3-2, was the most memorable match of the weekend.

Lamia thrashed Panathinaikos 4-1 on its frozen pitch and is the huge favorite for a major upset in the Greek Cup, while the tournament's favorites had a smooth ride in the first leg of the round of 16 in midweek.
