As the summer season winds down in tourism hotspot Muğla's Bodrum, both private and commercial boats are being pulled ashore for maintenance after hosting thousands of local and foreign visitors on blue voyages, which refer to the recreational journeys along the stunning Turkish Riviera.

A Turkish healthcare firm has become an official supplier to U.S. space agency NASA, the firm announced on Oct. 16.

INVAMED-RD Global, which is on its way to becoming a global leader in science and health technologies with its global leadership vision as well as innovative, high-tech approaches, will supply NASA with healthcare products, the company said in a statement.

A 10-year-old child, who was kidnapped on Aug. 21 in the Central Anatolian province of Aksaray, was saved in a gendarmerie operation early on Aug. 23.

The "Kilia Idol," a 23-centimeter statuette that has been smuggled from Turkey, will be auctioned on April 28 at New York Christies at an estimated price of $3 million.

New police chiefs have been assigned to 61 provinces across Turkey including İzmir, Adana and Konya, according to a decree published on Oct. 26 in the Official Gazette. The major reshuffle comes as part of sweeping state of emergency decrees just over three months after the failed July 15 military coup attempt.    

A recent survey by the Exporters' Assembly of Turkey (T?M) has shown that almost half of Turkish exporters do not have any plan to protect themselves against parity risks.
