26,000 Children With Disabilities Receive Family Allowances and the Amount for This Year Is BGN 160m
''Children who receive family allowances under the Family Allowances for Children Act are about 26,000 and this year's budget provides for payments of over BGN 160 million'', Minister of Labour and Social Policy Biser Petkov said at a briefing at the Council of Ministers FOCUS News Agency reports.

Turkey's Changemakers: Guide Dogs Association
The Guide Dogs Association of Turkey is the 14th Changemaker in the eighth season of the Sabancı Foundation Turkey's Changemakers Program.
According to the Family and Social Policies Ministry, there are 750,000 people in Turkey with visual disabilities including persons with low vision.

Just 10% of Disabled in Bulgaria Employed
In figures released by the National Social Security Institute persons with disabilities registered in Bulgaria are 689,187, of them 281,000 at a working age, according to BNR.
In unofficial statistics only 10% of them are employed - the estimate was announced at a press conference on creating employment for persons with disabilities.

1,500 disabled protesters demand dignity in large protest (video)
