Airplane's engine explodes on runway at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport
An engine of an Iranian airway?s airplane exploded and caught fire while on the runway of Istanbul?s Atatürk Airport early April 10. There were no injuries reported in the incident, which saw parts of the airplane?s engine scattered on the ramp.
Bulgaria's Govt Increases Interior Ministry Staff by 700 People
Bulgaria's government has adopted a decision to increase the staff of the Interior Ministry to 50 200 from a rate of 49 500.
The decision, which was approved on Wednesday, introduced changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Interior Ministry.
According to the media statement of the government, the change will contribute to the implementation of the planned structural reforms.
SYRIZA offices targetted by vandals
Unidentified vandals damaged SYRIZA offices in two Thessaloniki neighborhoods, Harilaou and Sykies, in attacks early Tuesday.
No injuries were reported as the offices were empty at the time. In a statement, SYRIZA attributed the attacks to ?dark forces of perversion? which, it said, ?would not dampen the resolve of members and friends of SYRIZA.?

Two Germanwings emergency landings in Stuttgart and Venice
A Germanwings flight bound from Hanover, Germany, to Rome was forced to make an emergency landing in Venice when a passenger and crew member became ill. Several reports indicated that the illness suffered by the passenger was a panic attack though Germanwings said that they were both struck by nausea and required medical treatment.

BELGRADE -- The responsibility for the crash of a military helicopter in Belgrade last month was primarily with the members of its crew, it has been announced.
There are also "doubts that part of the responsibility lies with other military and civilian personnel," the Higher Public Prosecution said on Friday.

Two accused of swindling elderly by claiming relatives were in accident
Two Thessaloniki men, aged 33 and 47, were to face a prosecutor on Thursday on fraud charges after they allegedly swindled a total of 28,000 euros from two elderly people by pretending to be a doctor and a lawyer and telling their victims that their relatives had been involved in car accidents.

MP of Srpska List Velimir Rakic dies in traffic accident
LEPOSAVIC - Velimir Rakic, an MP of the Srpska List in Kosovo's parliament, died in a severe car accident that took place in Leposavic in northern Kosovo-Metohija on Wednesday evening.
Rakic died in the hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica after suffering fatal injuries in the crash between his car and a freight vehicle.
Access to Key Bulgarian Government Websites Restored
Access to the websites of Bulgaria's government and the President's office has been restored on Wednesday evening following a short outage, a search by Novinite has shown.
The reason or the reasons for the disruption that started around 6.30 p.m. (1530 GMT) and lasted about half an hour, were not immediately clear.
