FCDO to deploy team in Greece to support evacuees
United Kingdom Ambassador to Greece Matthew Lodge announced on Sunday that a Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office rapid deployment team was being sent to Greece to facilitate the evacuation of British nationals from fire-stricken areas on Rhodes.

A large blaze burning on the Greek island of Rhodes for the fifth day has forced authorities to order an evacuation of four locations, including two seaside resorts.

Kalymnos coast guard pick up 37 stranded migrants
Coast guard on Kalymnos have evacuated 37 migrants from a rocky coast on the northwest of the Dodecanese island.
The migrants said that their vessel began to drift while passing the nearby island of Pserimos and sank after it hit a rock.
Port officials have launched an investigation and the migrants have been transported to the port of Kalymnos. [AMNA]

Pserimos’ six-hour tourism boom

Footage implicates suspect in Polish woman’s death
