Missing Turkish migrant girl found dead in Dragonja River
Koper – A 10-year-old Turkish girl who went missing after she fell into the swollen Dragonja on the Slovenian-Croatian on Thursday evening and got swept downstream as her mother was carrying her on her shoulders across the river, was found dead around noon today.

Bangladeshi migrant found dead in border area
Koper – A 31-year-old national of Bangladesh has been found dead in the Dragonja valley in the border area between Slovenia and Croatia with initial information indicating hypothermia as the cause of death, the Koper Police Department has reported.

Joras suspends hunger strike over Croatia’s seizure of land
Sečovlje – Slovenian citizen Joško Joras has ended a hunger strike he started on 30 September after Croatian authorities seized a piece of land he rents from the Slovenian Agriculture and Forestry Fund. Joras told the STA on Monday he would now take the fund to court over its failure to respect contractual obligations.
Year after arbitration award, Slovenia and Croatia still disunited
In setting the land border between Slovenia and Croatia on 29 June 2017, the international tribunal largely followed the cadastral borders of municipalities, which means that in many areas the border line remains troublesome for the locals, especially along the Mura river and in the south-eastern region of Bela Krajina.
