Turkish President Orders Investigation Into Exam Fraud Claims

"Our report will be presented to the President. It seems that there is a problematic situation," the chair of the DDK, Yunus Arinci, told NTV TV Channel.

Some of the 2022 KPSS questions were allegedly published by a publishing house before the exam. It is claimed that more than 20 questions might have been leaked.

Results of university exams to be announced on July 20

Türkiye has held two-phase university exams over the weekend, with officials saying that the results will be announced on July 20.

Over 3 million students attended the first one on June 18 and some 2 million on June 19.

Local officials across the country took high security measures around the schools where the exams were sat.

1 mln Turkish students appear in high school qualification exams

Around 1 million Turkish students in eighth grade broke a sweat at the high school qualification exams known as "LGS" across the country on June 5.

The results of LGS will be announced on June 30.

According to the daily Milliyet, there are around 1.2 million eighth-grade students in Turkey, and some 90 percent of them have applied to qualify at LGS.

Turkey lifts university entrance exam threshold

The Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) will no longer have a threshold starting from this year, according to a decision by Turkey's Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

The decision concerns 2.5 million students preparing for university entrance exams. The placement score will be calculated by adding the secondary education success score to the exam score of candidates.
