Temporary traffic restrictions on Vouliagmenis Avenue due to roadwork
Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place on Vouliagmenis Avenue, a key route from central Athens to the southern seaside suburbs, starting Saturday and continuing until November 22 due to ongoing roadwork.
The measures, which will affect traffic 24 hours a day, will be implemented in stages.
Teen on scooter hit by tram in Athens
A 15-year-old riding a scooter was hit by a tram Wednesday afternoon in Nea Smyrni, Athens, on Eleftheriou Venizelou Street.
He suffered minor head injuries and was taken to a children's hospital.
Tram service between Athens and Faliro has been suspended. Authorities are investigating the incident.

23-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash
A 23-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday night in a crash in Menidi, East Attica.
The accident occurred around 9:40 p.m. at Parnithas and Eleftheriou Venizelou intersection. The rider lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a parked car.

Police hunt for gunman after robbery at Athens diagnostic center
An armed man held up a medical diagnostic center in Kallithea in Athens on Tuesday, located on Eleftheriou Venizelou Street.
According to police, a man with his facial features covered entered the center shortly before 5 p.m. and while threatening them with a gun immobilized the employees, removed an unknown amount of money from the cash registers and fled.

Restaurants targeted in northern Athens
Explosive devices were detonated early Saturday at two restaurants with the same name in Maroussi and Nea Ionia in northern Athens, police said.
An explosive device detonated shortly after 4.30 a.m. at a souvlaki restaurant located at the junction of Aigaiou and Vyronos streets in Maroussi. The explosion broke the glass of the shop and damaged the tables and chairs.
