Temporary traffic restrictions on Vouliagmenis Avenue due to roadwork

Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place on Vouliagmenis Avenue, a key route from central Athens to the southern seaside suburbs, starting Saturday and continuing until November 22 due to ongoing roadwork.

The measures, which will affect traffic 24 hours a day, will be implemented in stages. 

In the first phase, the right and part of the center lane will be closed for 285 meters past Eleftheriou Venizelou Avenue, affecting traffic toward Poseidonos Avenue. Phase B will block the left and part of the center lane for 165 meters in the same direction. Subsequent phases, C through E, will cause additional lane closures near Sofia Vembo Street, with adjustments depending on traffic direction. 

Speed limits will be reduced in work zones, initially to 70 km/h, then to 50 km/h and finally to 30 km/h. Athens Traffic Police urge drivers to exercise caution and...
