Property fraud ring targeting Agistri, Hydra and Spetses under investigation

Deputy Minister of Digital Governance Konstantinos Kyranakis, along with Stelianos Sakaretsios, chairman of the Hellenic Cadaster, have filed a criminal complaint with the Supreme Court regarding a suspected fraud ring involving falsified documents.

In a statement, Kyranakis said officials had discovered "a potential network of individuals and professionals attempting to register claims for 45 properties on Agistri, Hydra and Spetses, covering a total area of over 550,000 square meters."

He added that "amended E9 property declarations were submitted for these properties, followed by affidavits from the same individuals residing in northern Greece, who testified under oath that these properties belong to a specific individual." He also noted that these affidavits were drawn up by the same notary public, based in northern Greece.
