Queen Elizabeth II is probably the most well-traveled monarch. She has been to 116 countries on official visits, but not once to Greece even though her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, claims to be a “Greek Prince.” The reason could be the fact that the monarchy was overthrown in Greece affecting Prince Philip’s immediate family.

The photographic material includes photos from her childhood and younger years. The Queen of England has been on the throne since 1952, and she rules over the 16 commonwealth states.

Princess Margareta and Prince Radu welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace

Princess Margareta, the elder daughter of ex-sovereign of Romania Michael I and her husband Prince Radu were welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, King Michael's Press Office announced in a release to AGERPRES on Wednesday.

The meeting at Buckingham Palace was an invitation to tea at 5 p.m., the release added.

Irish President Begins Historic UK State Visit

Irish President Michael D Higgins has arrived to the UK on the first official state visit by an Irish head of state, Tuesday.

The four-day trip, which comes three years after the Queen visited Ireland, includes an address to Parliament and a focus on the contribution Irish emigrants have made to UK life, The Guardian reports.
