A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Sliven, Bulgaria, as a 63-year-old woman tragically passed away in a taxi after emergency services reportedly refused to dispatch an ambulance. The woman, who fell ill at her daughter and son-in-law's residence in Sliven's villa area, was denied assistance by the emergency hotline, 112, before her condition could be fully assessed.

The death of a 63-year-old woman on the eastern Aegean island of Kos on Sunday has underscored serious medical service shortages on the Greek isles and promoted fresh calls from for more staff and equipment.

The Romanian firefighters who took off for Greece have the mission to protect three localities in the Attica area, the Emergency Situations' General Inspectorate (IGSU) informs on Sunday, in a release. The Romanian firefighters' action continues on Monday, in Greece, in the Spathari area on Evia island. Starting with 08:00, 45 firefighters are acting in order to extinguish the fires that engulfed the dry vegetation and the forests around the Spathari area. The action is similar to the one from yesterday, the intervention being done with 6 firetrucks and two fire tanks.

According to the Mures Emergency Management Inspectorate, the explosion occurred at around 01:00hrs, EEST.

A Mobile Emergency Response Training Centre, purchased by the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), has been made available to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU). The centre is made as a semi-trailer, being completely autonomous.
