BELGRADE/ADA - The construction of Serbia's largest solar power plant - built by the Israeli company Nofar Energy - began at Ada near Senta, northern Serbia, on Monday.

EC resumes proceedings against Serbia over Russian gas
The Secretariat of the Energy Community has resumed the proceedings against Serbia over the agreement with Russia on natural gas deliveries.

Russian-Serbian gas supply agreement under scrutiny
BRUSSELS - The Secretariat of the Energy Community has initiated a preliminary procedure against Serbia for infringing European competition regulations by a natural gas supply agreement with Russia, the organisation announced on its website.
Energy Community's fresh threat of sanctions
Serbia has not solved the key question of splitting tasks in gas companies, Beta agency has quoted an Energy Community annual report.
For this reason, the Energy Community's Ministerial Council will rule on sanctions against Serbia in October, the agency said.

Energy Community could impose sanctions over gas company
If Srbijagas operations have not been effectively separated by July 1, the Energy Community will recommend imposing sanctions against Serbia.
Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Janez Kopac said this in Belgrade on Monday.
EU excludes Serbia from natural gas emergency plan
The European Commission has established an emergency plan for gas supply in crisis situations, which does not mention Serbia.
This is the case although Serbia is a party to the Energy Community Treaty with the EU.

Serbia has made great progress in energy sector
BELGRADE - Serbia has made great progress in harmonizing regulations governing the energy sector with EU standards, and the project aimed at ensuring a gas connection between Serbia and Bulgaria should be fully formulated by the end of August, it was said during the Friday meeting between Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic and officials of the European Commission (EC).
