Henri Coanda International Airport of Bucharest certification renewed under ACI Europe Airport Carbon Accreditation
The National Airports Company of Bucharest (CNAB) has obtained the renewal of the certification of the Henri Coanda International Airport of Bucharest (AIHCB) under the ACI Europe Airport Carbon Accreditation programme, following a specialized audit carried out by international experts, CNAB informed in a release.
Lufthansa renounces flying over Ukraine in favour of Romania after Malaysian airliner crash
Two large European airline companies, Deutsche Lufthansa AG and British Airways, have instructed their planes to avoid Eastern Ukraine airspace, after a Boeing 777 passenger jet of the Malaysian Airlines crashed in Ukrainian territory; the German company requested its planes to fly over Romania instead, the news.malaysia.msn.com website reports.
Air Traffic Over Bulgaria On the Rise
The air traffic over Bulgaria has increased significantly, compared to last year, reports Dnes.bg.
In 2013 over Bulgaria flew an average of 2500 airplanes a day. Currently their number has reached 2900 and by the end of July is expected that the number will surpass 3000.

Eurocontrol Suspends Flights To And Above Crimea
The European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) has suspended all flights to and above Crimea, “until further notice”.
According to ITAR-TASS, the organization explained its decision by the fact that the airspace over Crimea, is no longer controlled by Ukrainian air traffic controllers.
