Revelers gear up for EuroPride parade in Thessaloniki
The northern port of Thessaloniki is hosting the EuroPride parade on Saturday evening, marking the end of a 10-day celebration of the LGBTQI community, with events that ranged from the awareness-raising and political to the fun.

The presence of Aristotle University at EuroPride 2024, which starts on Friday in Thessaloniki, is seen as a strong message of support to the LGBTQ+ community.
It is the first time Greece is hosting EuroPride, which will last for nine days, and is considered one of the most important festivals of the LGBTQ+ community in Europe - the first was organized in 1992 in London.

So far, about 150 participants of "EuroPride" have arrived, reports a reporter from the scene. There are many foreigners among those present. Many of the participants do not speak Serbian. Despite the rain, protests and a large number of police officers, both in uniform and in civilian clothes, the atmosphere is still very positive and cheerful.

Belgrade EuroPride Organisers Pledge to Gather – Far Right As Well
Belgrade's EuroPride organizers submitted a petition to the government seeking permission to hold the previously banned event, as far-right groups plan counter-protests.
Pride has a new route? Petition submitted
The president and prime minister are asked to "make it possible to hold EuroPride 2022 as planned".
They also announced the new route of Saturday's march - from the Constitutional Court to Tamajdan, Belgrade media report.

Belgrade under siege tomorrow
The events include: the promotion of military graduates, the Formula 1 race, "Europride" and the walk of anti-globalists. The first event starts already at 10 a.m., the last two at 5 p.m., so it is clear that the capital will be under "siege" from the early hours of the morning.
