Archbishop Anastasios in critical condition

Archbishop Anastasios of Albania is in critical condition, doctors said Sunday.

"Today's state of the health of His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios is deemed critical by the attending physicians," the Evangelismos hospital said in a statement Sunday.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens visited Anastasios in the central Athens hospital Sunday.

Archbishop Anastasios to be flown to Athens for emergency medical care

Archbishop Anastasios of Albania is set to be urgently transported to Athens for treatment after suffering a gastrointestinal bleeding. 

The 95-year-old Archbishop has been hospitalized in Tirana since December 30 for monitoring after contracting a seasonal virus.

Two brothers surrender after fatally stabbing cousin in Athens

Two brothers, aged 17 and 19, surrendered to police after killing their 28-year-old cousin Monday night in Kypseli, Athens.
