Moscow has recovered the black box of the Russian jet downed by Turkey last month and will analyse it with foreign specialists, President Vladimir Putin said on Dec. 8.

Something that everybody managed to avoid during the Cold War has now happened. On Nov. 24, Turkey became the first NATO country to shoot down a Russian plane in 62 years. All of a sudden, Turkey became enemies with its most important neighbor and one of its biggest trade partners. 

As Americans say, it takes two to tango. Now we also have to know that it takes two to crisis.

The tension between Turkey and Russia, which has been going on for 10 days, revealed it is impossible to escalate a crisis if one of the two sides tries insistently to control it.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin lashed out at Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan saying he “will regret what’s been done”.

Mr. Putin also said that Turkey “will not be let off with just tomatoes” for downing of Russian Su-24, as Sputnic reports.

Bulgarian trucks carrying Turkish goods have been blocked at Russian customs without being allowed to unload their goods.

A total of 1250 trucks carrying Turkish goods have been stopped at Russian borders and have not been permitted to enter the country, remaining blocked at border checkpoints.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has requested a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in Paris on Nov. 30, the Kremlin has said, although sources in Ankara stated no date has been set yet. 

President Vladimir Putin said on Nov. 26 that Russia had given prior information to the United States of the flight path of the plane downed by Turkey on the Syrian border.    

Do not ever call for moderation. Keep up the discourse of heroism. Otherwise, they would call you "pro-Russian." 

Don't ever think of asking the question, "Do you have the power to challenge Russia?" Otherwise they will call you "Putinist."
