Sometimes you do not need technocrats to study a bill to see if it will work. Common sense would have been enough to understand that, in addition to the clearing of the plots by landowners, a provision should also have been made for the collection of the resulting flammable materials. 

A 45-year-old woman succumbed to extensive burn injuries on Monday, a week after being doused with a flammable liquid and set on fire by her husband.

On January 8, after an argument, the 53-year-old husband, who is Roma, set the woman on fire, reportedly in front of two of their children and her brother.

An apartment building in Palaio Faliro, southern Attica, was targeted on Sunday at dawn.

According to the police, unidentified persons placed gas canisters at the entrance of the apartment building at approximately 3.30 a.m.

The explosion blackened the building's entrance. The police found remains of flammable material containers at the scene.

The police state that there is reason to believe that the explosion was caused intentionally. An unnamed police official told local media that witnesses saw two men running and getting into a car shortly before the explosion.

Local police in the town of Blankenburg have said that at least 15 people were injured and at least one person has died. The apartment building where the blast occurred and a nearby kindergarten were evacuated.
