Greek authorities seize Libya-bound ship carrying explosives

Greek authorities have seized a Tanzanian-flagged ship heading for Libya and carrying materials used to make explosives, the coastguard said on Wednesday.

The vessel was detected sailing near the Greek island of Crete on Saturday. Authorities found 29 containers carrying materials including ammonium nitrate, non-electric detonators and 11 empty liquefied petroleum gas tanks.

French Villejuif Terror Suspects 'Wanted to Blow Up Banks'

A chance alert by a local tradesman has exposed a terror-linked bomb plot to target banks, French Interior Minister Gérard Collomb has revealed.

Police were called on Wednesday to a flat in the southern Paris suburb of Villejuif, where they found 100g of TATP explosives and chemicals.

Three men have been arrested.

Weapons, explosives found in stolen car in Belgrade

Members of Serbia's Interior Ministry (MUP) have found weapons, ammunition, and explosives in a stolen car in a garage in New Belgrade.

The MUP said the cache contained a Heckler & Koch rifle, ammunition, a total of 400 grams of Trotyl explosives of great destructive power divided into two packages, two cells phones used to remotely activate explosives, and a pistol.
