Turkey's first botanical expo opens in Antalya

The 2016 World Botanical EXPO, one of the largest horticultural shows in the world, opened its doors with an official ceremony on April 22 in the Mediterranean resort of Antalya.

President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu and cabinet ministers attended this year's opening ceremony, along with a number of ministers from more than 10 countries. 

Turkey's largest convention center nears completion in Antalya

Turkey's biggest convention center is almost finished and is scheduled to open its doors in April for EXPO 2016 Antalya.

Located in the southern province and seaside city of Antalya, the new center is being built on 41,000-square meters of land and will have a seating capacity of 5,003 people, according to the project builders.      

Turkey, losing 4.5 mln Russian tourists this year, will take measures to recover losses: Minister

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mahir Ünal has said the sector has unavoidably affected negatively with the Russian crisis as well as regional uncertainties. He expects around 4.5 million losses in the number of Russian tourists this year.
