A spot just northwest of Milan has to be the epicenter of the most exciting plates on earth these days. Since its opening on May 1, the Milan Expo 2015 has been hosting the most notable chefs, as well as humble cooks from all over the world to display their culinary creations or traditional dishes of national or regional pride.

EXPO MILANO 2015 President Iohannis visits Italy, Vatican pavilions

AGERPRES special correspondent, Catalin Alexandru reports: Romania's President, Klaus Iohannis has visited on Thursday the pavilions of Italy and the Vatican from the Expo Milano 2015, after which he had a short talk with Giuseppe Sala, the Commissioner general of the world exhibition.

EXPO MILANO 2015 President Iohannis says pleasantly impressed by Romanian pavilion's concept

Italy opens Expo 2015 amid doubts and protests

Italy opened the Milan Expo on May 1, torn between hopes that the showcase of global food, technology and culture will lift a gloomy national mood and fears that it will be overshadowed by scandal, delays and protests. 

Prime Minister Matteo Renzi is counting on the Expo to reinforce fragile signs of economic recovery after years of stagnation and recession.
