Annual Boston Turkish Film Festival goes virtual

The Boston Turkish Film Festival kicked off Nov. 22 after a nine-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Films of the 19th Annual Boston Turkish Film Festival, which were originally scheduled for March 19 - April 5, 2020 but cancelled in response to circumstances caused by COVID-19, are now presented on a virtual platform," according to its website.

Countdown for Int'l Migration Film Festival

Turkey's International Migration Film Festival will start on June 14. 

The opening and closing ceremonies of the festival will be held in a real-time 3D virtual studio which offers the closest image to a photo reality.

So for the first time in the world, an international event will meet the audience with "augmented reality."

Flying Broom Film Fest closes online amid outbreak

The 23rd Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival came to a close on May 14 with a videoconference ceremony as the world continued to grapple with the novel coronavirus.

A total of 1,301 women directors from various countries applied for the festival this year.

Seventy-six films from 31 countries were screened online for film lovers.

The Cannes Film Festival Postponed

The event can take place in late June or early July, AFP reported.

The Cannes Film Festival will not be held as usual in May due to the spread of the coronavirus in France.

The event can be rescheduled at the end of June or early July. This is said in a statement released by the festival organizers.

Venice International Film Festival Begins

The 76th edition of the Venice International Film Festival begins.
The 76th Venice International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale di Venezia, and will take place at Venice Lido from August 28th to September 7th, 2019. The Festival is officially recognised by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association).
