'Parasite' director slams police, S Korean media over star's death
Oscar-winning "Parasite" filmmaker Bong Joon-ho and other South Korean stars called for an investigation on Friday into police and media conduct in the days leading to actor Lee Sun-kyun's death.
Lee, best known globally for his starring role in Bong's 2019 film "Parasite", was found dead in a car in Seoul last month, after a two-month police investigation over suspected drug use.

Yorgos Lanthimos' "Poor Things," an off-key Victorian-era riff on "Frankenstein," pulled off an upset victory over "Barbie" to triumph in the best comedy or musical category at the 81st Golden Globes.
"Poor Things" also won for Emma Stone's performance as Bella, a young woman, created by a scientist, who experiences a surreal sexual awakening.
Mickey Mouse horror films announced
Barely 24 hours after Disney's initial copyright on Mickey Mouse expired, two new indie horror films starring the beloved character have been announced.
"Mickey's Mouse Trap" will feature a masked killer dressed as Mickey stalking a group of young friends through an amusement arcade, while another untitled horror-comedy sees a sadistic mouse tormenting unsuspecting ferry passengers.

Unknown perpetrators carried out a heist at a high-end jewelry store on in central Athens on Saturday at dawn.
According to the police, the thieves entered between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., initially accessing an adjacent abandoned building. Using tools, they created a hole in the common wall, gaining entry to the jewelry store.
