In ‘Poor Things,’ Emma Stone takes an unusual path to enlightenment

It is sickly hilarious to make a movie in which so much consensual sex is had, often so gleefully, that is not the least bit sexy. Though Bella Baxter's insatiable libido might be her guiding light at first in "Poor Things," sexual liberation (or "furious jumping," as she calls it) is only part of this fantastical, anarchic journey to consciousness.

Car driver seriously injured in collision with bus

A woman was seriously injured early Thursday morning when the car she was driving crashed into a bus in Piraeus, police said.

The accident happened at the junction of Alipedos and 34th Infantry Regiment streets at 5.30 a.m.

An ambulance transferred the woman to a nearby hospital. It was not clear if there were other passengers in the vehicle. 

A modern retelling of Oedipus and a retrospective
