A fire in a South Korean hospital which did not have a sprinkler system killed at least 37 people and injured more than 70, officials said on Jan. 26, the latest tragedy to raise concerns over the country’s safety standards.
10 People were Killed in a Factory Fire in Russia
10 victims of a fire at a shoe factory in the Russian Novosibirsk region, TASS reported.
The cause of the flare is a short circuit. According to preliminary data, most of the people killed are Chinese, and two are from Kyrgyzstan. They all worked in the production or in the warehouse. The fire, which burned on an area of 2000 square meters, has already been extinguished.

Son kills disabled father by setting him on fire in Mani
A man who allegedly killed his disabled father by setting him on fire has turned himself in to authorities to face charges of attempted murder and arson, reports say.
The incident occured in the village of Agios Nikolaos in western Mani in the Peloponnese on Tuesday.

A homeless man was hospitalized with minor burns early on Friday after a fire broke out in an abandoned building in which he had sought shelter in the Thessaloniki suburb of Eleftherio-Kordelio.

The Search for the Argentine Submarine Continues
The Argentine submarine with a 44-member crew which disappeared two weeks ago reported a fire in their batteries before interrupting the radio link. This was announced by the Argentinian navy, Nova TV reported.
Short circuit has caused smoke but no flames and the fire has been extinguished.

Ship Caught Fire in Burgas due to Negligent Work
Fire was extinguished this morning on a ship in the shipyard "Iliya Boyadjiev" in Burgas, announced Black Sea Lighthouse.
The incident happened when cutting scrap metal. There was a spilled machine oil that caught on fire by the sparkles of the cutter. There are no injuries, and material damage is not too much.
