Declared State of Emergency in California Because of Fires
The fire spread over 1500 hectares of forest. 500 families were evacuated as their homes were threatened by fire. Reports Bnt.

Fire contained near Samos hotspot
A fire broke out late Wednesday near the migrant hotspot on the eastern Aegean island of Samos.
Efforts to contain the fire were hampered by strong winds, but firefighters were finally able to bring the blaze under control.
A former prison, the camp was originally laid out for 700 people, but currently houses more than 2,200 migrants.

Arson suspected in fires raging on Ionian island of Zakynthos
Greek authorities think arson could be behind a series of fires fire raging on several fronts on the western Greek island of Zakynthos.
The country's fire service says there are "well-founded suspicions of foul play" after five fires broke out late Saturday and early Sunday, followed by another three on Sunday morning.
Patra police searching for serial arsonist
Police in Patra, western Greece, are searching for a serial arsonist, or arsonists, with a penchant for setting fires to parked cars and motorcycles. According to reports, two more motorcycles were torched Friday morning, while an attempt was made to set fire to a car.
Officers are investigating some 13 similar arson attacks carried out since last Sunday.
