BELGRADE - The French company VINCI is interested in acquiring Belgrade's Nikola Tesla airport, Belgrade-based daily Politika reports in its Wednesday issue.

The details of the offer, as well as whether other investors will appear when it is disclosed that the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is ready for privatization, or more likely, granting of concession rights, are still unkown.

The Flydubai low cost airline starts flights between of Sofia airport and the Dubai International airport twice a week, according to the winter timetable of the Sofia Airport.

The flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Pilots for Lufthansa are to hold a one-day strike Tuesday that will hit long-haul flights operated by the German carrier, Europe's largest, their union said.

The pilots of Germany's biggest airline, Lufthansa, have called off a strike at Frankfurt airport scheduled for Tuesday.

The pilots had planned to walk out on long-haul flights leaving from Frankfurt Airport, according to reports of DPA.

Tuesday's strike was expected to be the fourth one in three weeks, with pilots opposing an early retirement scheme proposed by the airline.

Lufthansa cancelled 110 Munich flights on Wednesday, it said on Tuesday, due to a strike of its pilots.

The strike at Munich, Lufthansa's biggest airport after Frankfurt, will run from 10 AM CET to 6 PM CET on Wednesday, September 10.

According to the Lufthansa website, the flights between Sofia and Munich are not affected.
