Free Syrian Army operations

A civilian support worker for the Turkish Armed Forces was killed in a terrorist car bomb attack on a military convoy in Syria’s northwestern Idlib province, the Turkish General Staff said late on Jan. 30.

Syria’s army has broken the siege of an army base encircled by opposition forces on the eastern outskirts of Damascus, state television and a war monitor reported on Jan. 7.

The Islamic State group killed more than 50 people in an attack on two government-held villages in central Syria's Hama province on Thursday, a monitor said, reported AFP.

The governor's office in the southern province of Hatay denied reports on May 6 claiming that the Turkish army would be deployed to the opposition-held Syrian province of Idlib.      

A large explosion hit in the area of Damascus International Airport followed by a fire in the same place early on Thursday the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based war monitor, said, Reuters agency reports.

The cause of the blast was not clear, it added.

A pro-Assad gang of spies that infiltrated Syrian rebel group Free Syrian Army (FSA) has been identified, according to an FSA commander, who said the network was responsible for two car bomb attacks on the Turkish-Syrian border.
