Beware of Tuesday 13th… A hellish, fearful, bad luck day for Greeks
While many Western countries believe that Friday the 13th is an ominous day, it is Tuesday the 13th that Greeks fear the most. Misfortune and calamity struck with the fall of Constantinople to the Fourth Crusade on Tuesday, April 13, 1204 paving the way for the Fall of the city to the Ottomans many Tuesdays later on Tuesday, May 29, 1453.
ATM withdrawal rules relaxed
The ECB, the Bank of Greece (BoG) and the Association of Greek Banks, in conjunction with Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos decided tom relax the measures in place regarding ATM cash withdrawals in order to avoid long queues on Fridays and facilitate.

Store opening times during Easter Holidays
Shops will open at 1pm on Good Friday, and will remain open until 7pm local time.
On Holy Saturday, shops will remain open between 09.00-17.00 for Athens and 09.00-15.00 for Piraeus, 10.00-16.00 for Thessaloniki.
All public markets will operate normally on Good Friday and Holy Saturday.
