A total of 63 irregular migrants were held in the Turkish capital Ankara, security sources said on July 31.

Provincial police teams carried out an operation in the Gölbaşı district, and the migrants, all of them Afghan nationals, and two others were rounded up. Their deportation process is underway.

Syrian migrants have given flowers, water and thank you notes to locals celebrating Eid al-Adha in the southeastern province of Adıyaman.
The Syrians, who had to move to Adıyaman after escaping across the border from their war-torn country, distributed carnations on Adıyaman's Gölbaşı and Sanat streets as a sign of gratitude late on Aug. 31.
Mosaic to be unearthed in Adıyaman
Excavations have started in the field of a 4th-century mosaic discovered by a farmer in Adıyaman's Gölbaşı district. When the work is completed, it will be decided whether to protect the mosaic in its original place or to move it to the Gaziantep Museum.

1,600-year-old mosaic found in Turkey's Adıyaman
A mosaic structure dating back to the 4th century has been found in the Gölbaşı district of the eastern Turkish province of Adıyaman.
Two brothers who work locally as farmers discovered the mosaic structure, which features Ancient Roman characteristics, while they were working in their field in Gölbaşı.

At least 90 dead in Turkish coup attempt
At least 90 people have been killed and 1154 were wounded during the clashes and incidents after a group of soldiers attempted a coup starting from late on July 15, Anadolu Agency reported.
A prosecutor in the Gölbaşı district said 42 of the dead were in Ankara.
