Human Rights Watch on Thursday accused Israel of committing "acts of genocide" in the Gaza Strip by damaging water infrastructure and cutting off supplies to civilians, calling on the international community to impose targeted sanctions.

The U.N. reported Tuesday an overwhelming obstruction by Israel to aid attempts to the besieged northern Gaza Strip during December.

The United Nations Human Rights Office has warned that Israel is "effectively sealing off northern Gaza" and may be carrying out the "large-scale forced transfer of the civilian population," which it said would amount to a war crime.

Türkiye issued a condemnation on Tuesday against Israel's attack on civilian tents in the "humanitarian zone" of Khan Younis, a southern Gaza city, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians.

Over the first three weeks of August, the Israeli army sent out 11 evacuation orders via flyers dropped from planes, text messages or social media.
