Turkish president congratulates Libya interim gov't leaders
Turkey's president congratulated the leaders of Libya's interim government in a phone call on Feb. 6.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan wished success to Mohammad Younes Menfi and Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbebibeh, who have been elected as head of the Presidential Council and prime minister, respectively, according to a statement by the Turkish Presidency.
Greece to reopen Tripoli embassy
Greece on Saturday announced plans to reopen its embassy in Tripoli, the Libyan capital.
The announcement by the Greek Foreign Ministry came a day after UN sponsored talks produced a new interim government for Libya aimed at resolving a decade of chaos, division and violence by holding national elections later this year.

Turkey on Feb. 5 welcomed the recent political developments in Libya as the North African country elected its interim president and prime minister to govern the country until Libyan elections in December.
Greece welcomes election of new interim government
Greece welcomed on Friday the election of a new transitional government for Libya which took place in Geneva supported by the UN Support Mission in Libya.
Mohammad Younes Menfi on Friday was elected the president of Libya's interim government, and Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibah the prime minister in the Presidency Council.

US calls on Russia, Turkey, UAE to halt Libya intervention
The United States called on Russia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates on Thursday to immediately halt their military interventions in Libya as demanded in a cease-fire agreement, and accept Libyan sovereignty as it moves to unify its government, hold elections and end years of fighting.
