Two Turkish military airplanes carrying a third batch of medical supplies to help Somalia fight coronavirus arrived in the
capital Mogadishu on May 4. 

The shipment followed two previous batches of medical aid, including new Turkish-made ventilators last week.

A Turkish plane carrying medical aid landed early on May 4 in the Somalian capital to help the country combat the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Turkey's educational Maarif Foundation put its campus in Ethiopia into the service of the local government to help its fight against the deadly coronavirus.

Dormitory, cafeteria and health facility buildings of the campus in the eastern Harar city were transferred to the Harar administration to be used to quarantine and treat patients during the outbreak, the foundation said.

The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Italy and the EU's top diplomat made a joint call on Saturday for a humanitarian truce in Libya, saying all sides must resume peace talks.

The Air Cairo flight will take off from Cairo with Greek citizens from Cairo, Alexandria and other parts of Egypt who have submitted requests to Greece's general consulates in the two major Egyptian cities.
 

A Turkish state-run agency has provided protective gear to the Kingdom of Lesotho to help the Southern African country curb the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed sanitizers, gloves and masks to the Lesotho Disaster Management Team, according to a statement released on April 19.

The European Union announced Tuesday the launch of a new naval mission in the Mediterranean Sea aimed at enforcing the UN arms embargo on Libya, after Italy blocked a previous operation claiming that the warships attracted migrants to Europe's shores.

The French Embassy in Greece has issued a statement reiterating the country's official position that a maritime boundaries accord in the Mediterranean Sea signed between Turkey and Libya's Tripoli-based government last year is "invalid."
