Strong 6.0-magnitude quake hits northern California: USGS
A strong 6.0-magnitude earthquake jolted California early Sunday morning, the US Geological Survey said, though there were no immediate reports of deaths or serious damage.
The quake struck at 3:20 am (1020 GMT) northwest of American Canyon, California, USGS said, at a depth of just 6.7 miles (10.8 kilometers) below the surface.
Lone Gunman Kills Six People in Santa Barbara, California
A gunman has killed six people in drive-by shootings in the Californian city of Santa Barbara, Friday night.
The shootings took place near the University of California-Santa Barbara, where two-thirds of the residents are students, the BBC reports.
Seven more people were wounded late on Friday in the town of Isla Vista near the campus of the University.

5.1 Earthquake Jolts California, Possible Aftershocks
An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 on the Richter scale has shaken Southern California on Friday evening.
There are no reported major damages, though several residents suffered slight injuries from falling objects, according to the Los Angeles Times. The epicenter of the tremor was in Orange County, one mile east of La Habra, and in close proximity to Los Angeles.
