Iliana Ivanova, a member of the European Court of Auditors, is GERB's nominee for European Commissioner, said party leader Boyko Borissov.

Daniel Laurer will be one of the two candidates for Bulgaria's European Commissioner. The decision of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov is for GERB-SDS to nominate a candidate as well.

So far, the coalition has not commented on who they will nominate. It is possible that they nominate Eva Maidel.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel stated that GERB leader Boyko Borissov will not change his mind and will not give up his immunity until the judicial reform is implemented.

Bulgaria's parliament on Tuesday formally approved the country's new government proposed by the two main political rivals in a bid to end a 30-months-long political crisis, restore stability and spur economic development in the poorest EU member country.

The new government came to power with 132 votes in favour and 69 against.

Will there be a regular government? GERB-SDS have 69 deputies, and "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" - 63, or 132 in total. Thus, the two largest coalitions secure a majority according to their previously declared intentions.

The move is likely to bring an end to two years of political turmoil which has seen five parliamentary elections held in Bulgaria.

"A totalitarian coup is taking place in the judiciary, the separation of powers is not respected. They want to subjugate prosecutors, judges and investigators to illegitimate oligarchic interests. At the moment they want the judicial system, soon they will also want the president, who they now call different names.
